Traditional Everest Base camp Trekking
The classic approach to Everest – and the route taken by Hillary and Tenzing in 1953.This trip has all the value of our Lukla trail in the higher khumbu, and also considerable time in the middle altitudes on the approach to the Khumbu..
The lower section is quite strenuous, a series of ascents and descents, trekking against the ' grain ' of the Himalaya.However , there are many tea houses, small villages and monastreies along the route to make it one of the most delightful walks in Nepal.
Day 1: Jiri
We will took a Private vechicle on first day from Kathmandu to Jiri.This is one of the long ride in Nepal.all the way we will cross the Himalaya this is one the oldest Highway After the long drive we will reached in Jiri.
Day 2: Chyangma
Our trek will be started from Jiri.On the first day we will got the pine forest.We follow the river upstream to shivalaya and find our first Buddhist prayer walls.We then climbed steeply , past a school house at sangdadanda(2220m) to the next pass(2713m) where there is a very welcome tea house.Here we find the largest collection of prayer walls in Nepal, and excellent view of the valley below. In chyangma we find two stupas indicating that we are now into an area dominated by Tibetan culture.
Day 3: Sete
The trail drops steadily to the Likhu Khola , through several small villages inhabited by newars and Magars. Keep your eyes open for the Langur Monkeys. After lunch at Kenja, we start a major climbed to Lamajura pass(3529m) and camp about 3 hrs later at sete.
Day 4: Junbesi
From sete, it is a long , gradual climb to the pass through fine rhododendron forest. This is a very good day for Bird watching. After resting at the pass and enjoying the views we descend through pine forest to the Junbesi.The whole village is dominated by Numbar(6954m), the most important peak for the sherpas of the solu region.
Day 5: Junbesi
Beneath Numbar 'Shorong Yulhha' (God of the solu), as the sherpas call the peak, nestles the beautiful monastery of Tibetan choling well worth a visit during the day.
Day 6: Trakshindo Monastery
We climbed steadily and round the salung Ridge and have our first views of the Khumbu and the peaks of the Everest(8848m) , Chamlang (7319m) and Makalu(8481m). We lunch at the Ringmo khola before climbing to Trakshindo pass(3200m). From here we look down to Dudh Kosi some 1707m below.We camp at Monastery, a superb building.
Day 7: Khari Khola
We descend rapidly through Mani Dingma(2320m), stopping for tea, and reach the river for Lunch.Once we cross the river we turn north to Jubing, a village inhabited by Rais. From here we make a short steep climb over a rocky ridge to Khari Khola.
Day 8: Puiyan
The steep climb to the Bupsa Ridge(3130m) takes most od the day, but there is another welcome tea house at the top. Then it levels out and we camp, completely surrouded by forest at Puiyan.
Day 9: Phakding
Still in thick forest the trail tops a small ridge and from here we can see the Lukla airstrip.The Trail descends to Suikhet(2340m) and passes below Lukla to Chaurikharka. The fields that we pass through support crops of corn, potatoes, , wheat and cabbage, and the sherpas here are generally better off than their friends above Namche. We joined the trail from Lukla continue along to cross the Dudh Koshi and camp at Phakding.
Day 10: Namche Bazar
This is a beautiful days walk through magnificient rhodendron , magnolia and air forests. Several villages provide welcome tea shops and views of the peaks increases and Improve until we finally reached Namche after a long pull up a ridge. Namche is the main sherpa Village and we have rest of the afternoon to enjoy walking round the village.
Day 11: Namche Bazar
The full day is spent here relaxing and exploring.
Day 12: Tyangboche Monastery
Under the soaring peak of Thamserku(6623m) we gradually drop to the Imja Khola, before ascending again to Tyangboche
Day 13: Tyangboche Monastery
This is a day to relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery- Everest Nuptse(7879m), Lhotse(8511m), Kantega (6809m) and most beautiful of all, Ama Dablam(6856m). The monastery is well worth to Visit.
Day 14: Dingboche
We walk to Pangboche where we see what is claimed to be the scalp of the yeti, and then continue to Dingboche
Day 15: Lobuche
We walk slowly over several moraines before a short , hard, ascent to kala patar (5545m). The peaks of Pumori (7145m), Lingtren (6697m) and Khumbutse(6623m) form the Tibetan Border; glaciers surround us; and Mount Everest dominates all.This is the roof of the World.
Day 16: Khumjung
We dropto the Imja Khola once again and then climb steadily to Khumjung.Keep your eyes open for the Danphe Pheasant, Nepal's National Bird.
Day 17: Jorsalle
We Drop dowan to Namche Bazar for a quick cup of tea before descending again to the Dudh Koshi and the trail to Jorsalee.
Day 18: Lukla
We follow the trail back to Lukla and have small farewell party to Thank our trekking crew.
Day 19: Kathmandu
Our Flight follow our trail back to Kathmandu, and takes half an hour.
