5 DAYS BHERI RIVER – NEPALGUNJ TO SAMJHI GHAT/CHISA PANI
Day 1:
KATHMANDU/ NEPALGUNJ/ SAMJHI GHAT
Transfer from respective hotel from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj by flight. The flightis about 1 hour and 30 minutes. After reaching Nepalgunj airport, we drive to SAMJHI GHAT, which takes about 4 hours to reach. We will be taking our night camp at SAMJHI GHAT.
Day 2:
SAMJHI GHAT TO RANIGHAT VILLAGE
After the breakfast around 8 a.m. we pack up all our camping equipments and get ready for rafting. After the raft is properly rigged, the RIVER GUIDE (acting as a trip leader) will highlight the SAFETY PROCEDURES and hand over life jackets, helmets, oars to all participants. Throughout the trip, we will be encountering several big and small rapids. And, according to Colorado River rating scale – this river are rated 4 grade rapid. For your information, the river rating is based on the Grand Canyon Colorado River Scale 1-8 (1 being the easiest and 8 the most difficult). Lunch is served enroute and later on we will be camping at RANIGHAT VILLAGE.
Day 3:
RANIGHAT VILLAGE TO CHEPANG GHAT
As usual we will commence floating in our 3rd day. This day the stretch is not that daring in comparison to the day before and the landscape is very beautiful – the rock formation and the gorges are different to the previous day. After the lunch stoppage enroute we camp at CHEPANG VILLAGE
Day 4:
CHEPANG VILLAGE TO KARNALI CONFLUENCE
The frequency changes at a gradual distances nevertheless the scenaries are as beautiful as ever and we drift by we will be passing a suspension bridge, the best in this district. And no sooner as we leave the sight far behind we will be meeting the confluence of KARNALI RIVER from the other direction and selecting a good spot, we camp here for the night.
Day 5:
KARNALI CONFLUENCE TO CHISAPANI
This, last day we serve you late breakfast owing to having finished the main rafting stretch and the last bit for this day is about 3 hours rafting only. But this last bit is to be the highlight of the trip. We will be seeing the CROCODILE breeding project, working to up-keeping by the artificial breeding method and protecting the existing numbers within the area. and finally the rafting trip ends at CHISAPANI, wher the transport from the CAMP will be there to transfer us to the Jungle Camp for Jungle Safari activities in the reserved Jungle or back to Nepalgunj to head back towards Kathmandu.
